History
My dancing experience began when I was seven years old at JD dancing Company, where I found my love of dance and performance. From those early courses, I acquired an interest in a variety of forms, including ballroom, line dance, ballet, jazz, lyrical, acro, and hip hop/commercial. This diversified background has helped turn me into a dynamic and expressive performer and instructor.
Throughout my training, I've had the opportunity to participate in a variety of performances, which has expanded my experience and confidence onstage. These include appearances in St. Patrick's Day parades, pantomimes, and theatre plays, as well as a background character on the children's television show Ted's Top 10. I've also performed with Country Vive, notably at the renowned Crystal Boot Awards, which has expanded my performing experience in the dance industry.
Alongside performing, I have competed at a high level and achieved significant success. I am proud to have won multiple titles at national and international competitions, including All Ireland Champion, European Champion and World Champion at the World Dance Masters. These achievements reflect my dedication, discipline, and commitment to my craft.
Dance has also given me the incredible opportunity to travel internationally, performing and competing in countries such as France, Spain, and South Africa. These experiences have broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for dance as a global art form.
At the age of 16, I began teaching dance, marking the start of my journey as a facilitator. I gained qualifications in Acrobatic Arts up to Level 3 and quickly developed a passion for sharing my knowledge with others. Teaching has allowed me to inspire and support students of all abilities while continuing to grow in my own practice.
At 19, I continued my education at Liverpool Hope University, studying Dance and Education. During this time, I further expanded my skill set, including completing an intensive six-week course in aerial and hoop, adding another dynamic dimension to my training.
Looking ahead, I am committed to continuing my development as both a dancer and a teacher. My goal is to teach dance to all ages and abilities across a variety of styles, creating an inclusive and inspiring environment where students can grow in confidence, creativity, and skill.
